Read what our families and students are saying about us.
Here is how joining WCMA has enhanced my life and that of my son
Charlie:
At World Class
Martial Arts you feel like you’re among friends. The instructors and
all the staff make the children feel special. It not only shows them respect,
commitment, but most important, it gives the kids self-worth to help them become
the best they can be.
What I most enjoy about the classes are
actually three things. One, what is apparent to me through the classes is that
none of us - among both the instructors and classmates - is too young to be a
"teacher" nor too old to "learn". I find I pick up new things or new ideas about
the martial arts - or the spirit of them - from fellow classmates, and even in
assisting with the kids at class. I also enjoy that my instructors have
occasionally worked overtime with me, and that the end of the class didn't
necessarily mean the end of the lesson. Finally, I realize that what we do as
students and how we interact as members of WCMA isn't so important that we cannot laugh and
joke about them!
I would like to thank you and your staff for the positive attitude you have given my son Jimmie. He holds his head high and walks proud since he joined your Taekwondo School. Jimmie talks about WCMA to his friends. He feels great about himself and we love to see him so happy. Thanks so much for the great experience.

Our experience with WCMA has been very positive. I like the fact that the instructors stress a positive attitude, obedience to parents & teachers & that they involve themselves in every aspect of the student's life. The classes are physical as well as mental & at points spiritual. Jeanette has grown into a strong young woman & made some good friends along the way.

I have been impressed over the years with the instructors emphasis on helping the students be well rounded, multi dimensional people. The school continues to have a positive attitude towards life, and the students growth in all the important aspects of life, including school grades, family relationships, and physical well being (advice on diet and exercise). While I know Jeanette could have gotten physical exercise and martial arts knowledge at another school, I think WCMA has helped her mature and keep the multiple aspects of her life in balance, making the adolescent years easier.

I have known Kevin Crane over 20 years. When he told me that WCMA was a reality, I knew I wanted my children involved. The Gledhill girls started WCMA in May 2001. Chrissy age 4, Jessy & Jilly age 6. All three girls have Cho Dan Bo belts and have recently returned from the AAU National Tournament in Ft Lauderdale each bringing home a medal (or two). The training has increased their confidence, self esteem, self discipline and leadership skills, which helps them in school and other outside activities. As a mother it is a great feeling to receive compliments about your children from teachers, coaches and other people they come in contact with. Thank you to all the Instructors.

At WCMA they teach self control, self
respect, and respect for others along with self defense. My son has so much fun
that he does not realize the life skills that he is learning. I have seen a big
change for the better since he began his lessons. The instructors are phenomenal
people who are the kind of role models that I want for my son. Thank you
WCMA !! Maria Hanson (parent)
I am the parent of an 8 year old boy who takes karate at World Class Martial Arts. My son has been taking classes since November of last year and he really enjoys it. I should mention that he has ADHD and this is the only activity that he has stuck with. We think it has to do with the sense of self-accomplishment that he gets, every time he advances to another belt. We couldn't be happier about the changes we've seen in his self-esteem either.
Theresa Rawlings (parent)
I think it's great that my daughter, Danielle, joined the WCMA. She really enjoys the classes and loves learning new moves. I think she has even more confidence in herself now, and I really enjoy seeing her come home so happy after earning a new belt. I hear great things about the instructors, too. They make the classes fun. It really is a great experience for her.

Ever since I joined the WCMA I feel so much better about myself. I feel stronger, faster, and confident that I can protect myself if I ever need to.

My daughter enjoys the classes at World Class Martial Arts. I can see that

I have a daughter involved with WCMA and my experience with them over the last 3 years has been absolutely wonderful. Every instructor has nothing but respect and the determination to make each and EVERY child succeed to the best of his or her ability. There is no single super star at this school, they all are superstars in their own rights and each instructor makes them all feel that way. Having 3 children, I have been involved in many sports over the last 11 or so years. In many cases (not all) the sport was all about the coach or the coach's kid. This has NEVER been the case at WCMA. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS. I am very grateful for all the individual help that they show and are always ready to step up and help in any way possible.

World Class Martial Arts has become part of the family for me and my son. I originally signed up my five-year-old for classes, but quickly decided it looked like something I would enjoy as well. I've belonged to other gyms and health clubs, but they simply don't compare to World Class Martial Arts. Nowhere will you find a more dedicated, responsible, and truly caring set of instructors. These gentlemen take our children's welfare personally, and they make certain that World Class Martial Arts is about more than just Taekwondo. They take the time to teach children about ethics, responsibility, respect, and the importance of school, family and staying out of trouble. For adults like me, it's a place for physical challenges and growth, as well as great camaraderie. What an outlet after a stressful day at work or with the kids! I can't thank the instructors enough for all they do for their students!

The first thing I would have to comment on
is the ability of the Melanie Penny (parent)
WCMA is a great program for kids. The instructors there are very patient and kind and have a great rapport with the kids. I have noticed a huge improvement in both of my sons in the following areas; much more respectful of authority, awareness of their self and what they are doing, more focus in school activities, and more self-confidence in their everyday lives. The benefits my kids have received from attending WCMA with their wonderful program and instructors is immeasurable and has made a huge difference in their lives!
Tish Roosevelt (parent)
WCMA has been a positive experience for
my two sons ages 9 and 11. My one son has ADD and has become a better listener.
The WCMA instructors treat every child as an individual and they are
really concerned about the kids. The overall karate has kept my kids active in
exercise and are always encouraged to keep active in their own community.
All of the
WCMA
instructors
reinforce what I teach my children at home. Martial arts teaches my children to
be a person of honor throughout their life, provides discipline, teaches
honesty, promotes confidence, and gives balance to their life while reducing
peer pressure because of their skill. Being a student, it enforces my children
to want to learn and build their knowledge base. It also helps broaden their
"street-smarts" and if needed, able to defend themselves.
WCMA has done a lot of the obvious -
further strengthened our sons physically and mentally and given them more
confidence and life skills. But in addition to the more obvious, our
involvement with WCMA has given our sons a bit of a family extension. In their
instructors I sometimes see five "older brothers" or "uncles" whom I would be
proud to have in our family and whom I know that, if Matthew and Jason didn't
feel comfortable coming to us about a problem, I would trust these guys to guide
them the right way if the boys entrusted them with their dilemma.
World Class Martial Arts Taekwondo classes have helped our
daughter, Kelsey, with her self-confidence. She has become much more independent
with everyday activities. Kelsey loves to go to Taekwondo Classes and likes all
the instructors. Thanks to Mr. Kevin, Mr. Aaron, Mr. Jerry & Mr. Vic for
all their hard work!!
WCMA is a clean, caring, safe and very
friendly environment that any parent would be proud to have their child (or
themselves) be a part of. The instructors are the force and foundation of such a
well run program. WCMA has given my child the self confidence that she was lacking.
She has made a lot of new friends that share the same interests and hobbies. A
lot of the kids there go to the high school that she will be starting and that
makes her feel more comfortable about going. WCMA has made her feel better about
herself. I would like to thank EVERYONE at WCMA for their outstanding training
techniques that have helped my daughter develop the attitude and skills she
needs to continue doing something she loves so much!!! Thanks to
all!
I wanted to let you
know how much my children enjoy your Martial Arts Program. They are more
physically active, more confident and even more disciplined. They're eager to
learn and are less fearful of trying new things. Thank you all for the
knowledge you share with our children!
World Class Martial Arts has reinforced what we teach at
home, treat others with respect and you will be treated with respect. The
atmosphere is perfect for learning and being yourself at the same time. Darragh
doesn't have a clue how valuable the school is too her.
My mother, two younger
sisters and I are all involved in the programs at World Class Martial
Arts. Being a twenty year old it is hard to become involved in
something so steady... but here I feel comfortable with a flexible schedule and
wonderful instructors. I know there is no rush or obligation but I still feel
the need to be there because of my attachments with the school and the people
there. |
